I never ask for money but should i?

I gave them a pair of tiger oscars and 4 bala sharks yesterday. I believe I'm correct in not asking for anything but I thought it best to ask you guys.

Tank looking much better by the way thanks for the advice!

Going to take back the rest o the bala sharks but I needed more bags.....

i have a great relationship with my lfs they give me full price on all my returns.they wont give cash only store credit.i spend so much money in there its best to keep me sweet
it cant hurt to ask i say but it depends on the store

Thats what I thought, can't hurt to ask on here though.. It is of course a problem created by bad advice from this shop but whatever.

One more thing, I took them back cos I'm overstocked but they popped the 6in bala into a 10in tank with another fish as well.

Is this correct?? He looked awful miserable... I guess he won't be there for long..... right.

they must like me, I keep buying fish then giving them back to them :(

did the lfs tell you 3 oscars would be ok in your 400l?
if the lfs wont give you anything for them i would rather give them away to a member on here

glad to see you've re-homed some.

it really depends on the store what if anything you can expect to get.

once you've found a decent shop and built up a relationship with them you'll find your more likely to get a good deal.

we get a decent amount of store credit on anything we bring in :)

fish shop tanks are always overstocked, but in general the fish aren't there for too long so it's probably ok.

you'll find straight after a delivery they're really overstocked, right before the next one's due they're all understocked. but generally a fish won't be in a shop more than a couple of weeks so it's alright :)

I guess the answer is not to buy fish that will outgrow the tank, I won't screw that up again.

Every shop I have ever been to gives you half back in store credit. If it is the shops fault aswell I wouldn't take them back their on principle, they will only sell them to some other poor unsuspecting person.
