Get Cardinals Or Neon Tetras?

yeah... Cardinals are a less common, and in my opinion, prettier fish. They're a little more fradgile... but for a while i found them at $2 each. Now they moved up to 3... sigh...

funny... I found the cardinals more hardy than the neons (neons have genetic problems that cause their sensitivity because of inbreeding. (kind of like epileptics... no offence!) Neons are one of the few fishes that can't inbreed without problems)

plus, cardinals are more colorful

Given all this talk of inbreeding and genetic disorders etc does this mean that if you see some 'wild' neon tetras in your lfs that these will be healthier and more likely to live longer?

good question Coomon. I would like to know that too since im interested to buy some wild neons from a seller.
