Gestation?

One of my fancy guppies has been pregnant for 4 1/2 weeks now. is that too long? What is the longest gestation period anyone here has had to wait for?

I have read in a book (tropical fish: breeders guide) that pregnancies should last longer than 4 weeks if the fish are young.

Older fish tend to have longer pregnancies because they have more babies

I dont know if that applies for guppies though
The book just says tropical fish and uses mollies as an example

I had a guppy about a year ago who was pregnant for nearly 6 weeks. I guess mother nature just kicks in when she feels like it.
