hi all, brought some little fish today that were advertised GERTRUDES BLUE EYES does anyone know anymore info on them or another name so i can search?

a pic would help an ID on the fish but i wouldn't have a clue what it is without a scientific name or a pic to get an ID.

fish are sold under way to many different common names.

The Latin name is pseudomugil gertrudae; the pseudomugiles are a group of small Oceanian rainbowfish. Gertrud's are said to be peaceful,active but a little sensitive (Baensch suggests species tank), like soft acid water (don't know how fussy they are on this score) and a diet of flakes and small live foods.

they are very fussy on water quality.
bi-weelkly water changes are recomended to keep them in ideal water params.
I lot my school and the only thing wrong with the water was NO3 at 30ppm, becuase I failed to do the water change due the day before.

I had some for awhile.. interesting little guys.. too bad my killifish liked to eat them.
