Before I buy and have shipped to USA, is this product available in States? I have looked on net, but find it all in UK. Is it legal in USA?

I don't have a planted tank and have not added new fish in over a year, but some how I have gotten pond snails twice before. Those infestations seemed to rectify on their own once and once I just broke down the tank and started over.

I think they come from the municipal water, since that is the only thing that is added to the tank other than fish flakes. And please, don't let that be the way they are introduced!

Thanks to whomever can help, dee dee in NW Indiana, USA

Looks like it's not sold in the US. Another choice for snail removal is to use a small glass or plastic bottle. Just put something in the bottle that the snails find irresistable, such as a piece of shrimp. Lay the bottle down on the gravel and push it in a ways so that the opening is even with the gravel, overnight the snails will have congregated inside the bottle for easy removal, repeat as often as necessary. I've also heard you can put a piece of blanched lettuce in the tank and the next morning it will have attracted snails to it for easy removal.

If you want to actually exterminate them and not fiddle with putting food in overnight (something that I personally am against as this will only other undesirables like planaria etc) then esha gastropex is what I'd recommend. Wipes those sons of snails out clean! It might cost you $10-$20 to get some shipped so buy 4 bottles. Perhaps to high a price but getting your aquarium back to the way you want it, !!!priceless!!!

I had read your previous thread about snails and gastropex, thence the search to buy the product.

I only ordered 2 bottles ($35US including shipping)but, yes I dream of not seeing hundreds of the moochers every morning!

How many applications for a 29 gal. in each bottle do you reckon?

Thanks, dee dee
