Due to overfishing these fish are very rare in the original location, how ever their have need new locations discovered and Singapore are surly breeding them by now so I'll expect the shop it have a slow but sure supply over the next 12 month's.

How ever shop fish are very poor, mine took over 4 months to get into good condition and I'm still trying to breed them but still with no luck, but i know two local breeders, and quite a few peeps here are breeding them.

let us know where your from and u never know may be some local to your self with them.

i live in northern virginia, quite close to Washington DC
it would be great if i could get some of these cool little fish
thanks

just do your best in finding tank bred/raised. They can easily be bred in the correct conditions which is great since they were (and to some extent still are) being over-caught in the wild which may lead to EIW (extinct in wild)

There not as rare as they were thought to be so dont let someone rip you off.

I saw some at Thatfishplace.com a few weeks ago for 6 US dollars a piece, not sure of the qualtiy of them though as I have never bought fish from them.

Have you checked aquabid for a breeder? They arent that hard to breed from what I have read.
