hello all,
i have a juwel 400 tank that has a built in filter. i also have a fluval 403 external filter.
now the question- will the fluval 403 be enough on its own to filter the tank if i were to remove the internal filter. i think the speck on the 403 filter is 1200ltrs an hour. the reason for the move is the internal is ugly and takes up lots of space!!
any advice??

In short no.The 404 is ment for aquarums up to 90 gallon,so if you were just to run an external it would have to be a 405.Then again it can all depend on your bioload...or how many fish you have got.

my stock can be seen in my sig.
what other filter would be recomended to go with my fluval to bump up the filtration if i were to out my internal?

i think i need alot of filtration as i have two common plecs, one @ 4" and one @14", please bear that in mind when recomending a new filter.
