Fluval 205 External,any Good

Im looking at a 205 external for £60 from £ 140 on amazon,any good any one got one,could i just fill it with peat to soften my water,are they bulky or loud!!,cheers

Ive got the 405 and thats great. I highly recommend the whole 05 range.

i have the 305 and would recommend paying the extra tenner for it.

I bought the 205 with my new tank last weekend. I did quite a bit of research and all the reviews I came across were positive.

I found the set up really easy, the instructions were straight forward and it only took about half an hour.

Are the filter chambers big and can u fully custsomise the media,how many litre an hour does it do.

Yep. Half of the chamber is for the sponges - there are 4 large filter sponges. The other half is split into 3 different trays and it comes with a carbon bag and 2 trays of biomax rings. But you can easily replace any of the media in the trays.

It does 680 LPH and is very quiet.

(Remember I have only had it a week so I can't comment on the long term usage)
