i just got a bag (7 kg) for my 20 gal long and i want to add it to pool filter sand for a planted tank. i just started to rinse it, and the water is DARK black and dirty. i just want to make sure i am not rinsing away the nutrients!!

Nope, rinse rinse rinse!!! Woow, I made the same mistake with my 5. I was like 'but I don't want to wash all the nutrients out of it'! So I didn't rinse it. Turns out I had to take the whole tank and wash it after I put it in there! Ughh. But the nutrients are still there, don't worry!!

anyway you can post pictures after you mix the two? I have pool filter sand and was planning on doing the same thing just curious as to how it would look. If you can that'd be great
