Floating Moss Ball?

I have a new moss ball in my tank, its floating?

are they not suppose ti sink, or is it because it has not water-logged yet?
Kind of confusing, i just googled some pictures and saw them on the substrate.

push it under the water and just squeze the air out gently it will sink.

yep, squeezed the air out, and it sunk for 2 seconds then came back up. I have now placed a small slat ontop of it to weigh it down. Hopefully it will become water-logged then i can take off the slate piece.

keep turning it in your hand while squeezing to get all of the air out! some is still trapped!

ok in the tank water? Will all the debris not fall in?

if you are concerned about the debris take some tank water out and do it there then put it back in!
