Fishing For Pets?

I was just reading the pinned topic "bored with gold fish" and I saw minnows and 3 spinned stickle backs both of witch I used to catch at the river(with rod and net) I was wondering if I could put one or both of these speicies in a tank after I catch them.

that should be fine aslong as the tanks big enough and you have a strong current and try and make the tank look like where there from. it might be worth getting some of the water from the river to put in the tank.
