Hi guys ..I recently purchased a new tank of 50 ltrs...I dropped in 3 parrots and 4 chiclids...later due to its agression, I removed parrots and dropped in only chiclids about 10 in total ......after 4 days 2 of my fishes died and I changed almost 70% of water and removed sand as the water was yellowish...on the same day of changing water ...4 of them died suddenly after dropping them to tank ...now thrwr are 3 of them ..what should I do now ...pls do suggest

We will need all the data on this. When is "recently" for starting this tank? Obviously you did not cycle it and probably weren't told about that from where you bought it, have a read of the cycling articles at the head of this forum.

Fifty liters (about 12 gallons) is very small, and cichlids are often territorial so this is likely an issue. What species are the cichlids? I do not know of any that can work in this small a tank.

Testing the water...do you have tests for ammonia, nitrite, nitrate and pH? These will help you going forward.

Once you have given the above info, others will be able to advise you.

Hello. The tank is very small. So, your water chemistry is likely the problem. Was the tap water treated? A 12 gallon tank is too small for just about any fish. If you're going to start a tank with fish, the fish need to be small and the tank really needs to be at least 150 or so liters and you need to use a bacteria starter, so there's a colony to remove the dissolved waste a few small fish will produce. Once the fish are in, you need to remove and replace half the tank water twice weekly for the life of the tank. I've started many tanks this way and as long as you follow an aggressive water change routine, the fish remain healthy, because the waste material produced by the fish is always removed before it builds up and makes the fish sick.
