Fish Similar To Gold Severums

i wish i could keep a breeding pair of gold severum, but i don't have the budget nor room for a large tank. also, i don't want to take care of more than 2 tanks.

so are there any fish that are similar in appearance or personality to gold severums, but are smaller in adult size, preferably no more than 6"?

i suppose the key personality features i'm looking for are peaceful and inquisitive. and as far as appearance goes, gold severums always seem to have a smile on their faces. i know blood parrots look like they're smiling, but i'm not into those kind of fish.

What about Keyhole cichlids?

They stay under 6 inches, are peaceful, inquisitive and may well breed if you're lucky.

Kind of look like Severums a bit too.
