I saw a beautiful little fish at the LFS store today, and couldn't get any info on it.

They were about an inch long each, and were in a big tank with paradise fish.

The fish had a pale body with vivid yellow tips on the edges of his fins, and around each eye was a bright blue streak. The body shape was pretty much like a guppy, but the side fins kind of pointed upwards instead of tapering towards the tail.

I don't know what they were called, but they cost 14 dollars each.

They were so pretty, I would love to know more about them. :)

sounds like a pacific blue eye to me. ive searched on google and cant fins any good pics of the ones i keep at my shop but they are exactly as you described :) they are an australian native fish. the plain pacific blue eye originates from my home area, south east queensland. some further surfing might result insome decent pics :) all i have found so far arent very good and dont show the colours like the ones in my shop. might try and get a pic for you today. when the blue eyes are younger they are silver in the body and as they get older they get the yellow. but the blue on the eyes is always there. hope this helps at all
