That's a coincidence - I was in my LFS just yesterday, and came across a tank of tinfoil barbs. It's the first time I have seen them, and I have to say that I think they are beautiful fish.
Certainly something I will consider in the future.
Tinfoil barbs are great fish. Very hardy and tough. Ive had mine for about 2 years now. One time I was house sitting for my cousin and there was a Power surge at his house and his filters and airaters shut off for nearly 15 hours. The next day when I went up there to feed, many of his fish were dead including his tinfoil barb (So I thought). It was floating up at the top upside down lifeless. I put a airstone in the tank immediately and I was taking out the dead fish and after about 30minutes I walked in and he was slowly swimming around. He lived for about another year and a half after that then got killed by a redtailed catfish.
They're real Troopers
