My tank setup is a plant aquarium. All I have is bottom dweller
3 khuhli loach
3 cory catfish
1 emerald cory
1 painted tetra
2 kribensis

what are are good fish for the top? I'm not really into tetras, mollies, swordtails, and platies as I never never had a good experience with them.

How big is your tank (length x width x height) and is your water hard or soft?

Sorry, dont know why I didnt pt the tank size 30 gallon with 30x12x18 and running on hard water

swordtails are extremely energetic and not hard to care for.there pretty fun to watch too, only problem might be annoying your other fish but that shouldnt matter.

Tank is too short for Swordtails long term, try Bloodfin (not Glass Bloodfin) Tetras or Forktail Blue Eyes.

I would not get anything with longfins like the Forktail suggested as the painted tetra may go after the fish. so you would be better of with the bloodfin tetras as it is a bit nippy and will fit in well with the fish you already have.

Also i think you should get a few more painted tetra as they a shoaling fish

aw man its hard to find those types of fish in our area right now.

What about harleyquin rasboras?

Yeah I see those around. I'll check them out. Thanks
