Fish Dying!

some more info would be handy!!!
my wife is also having a problem with fish dying, she has lost about 15 in the last 2 weeks

Heres anothher pici of her now sitting at the bottom. I dont really have much info, water stats are perfect.

Need lots more info as the fish in question looks healthy in all respects externally except deportment. Fins are erect and colour seems fine according to photo. Looks like a female platy to me is she being harrassed by male/males of the species.

no white spots so its not ich, have you treated for internal bactria infection?

Not really no, the males all stay in thair own group.

No, all i have got is melafix.

I put her in another tank on her own.

She shoots up th side of the tank to the top, then floats down dead. Then does it again.

you could try a water change see if that helps otherwise try to get to your lfs and get some interpet internal bactria treatment and keep an eye oh her.

No point, she will be dead within 10 mins. Nearest lfs is 40mins away.

cant see that happening.

If all the other tank mates are in fine fettle then you can assume thats it endemic to that particular fish and from the looks of things its not external and therefore an internal problem.
I would seperate her and add a small amount of salt for now. Then treat with an internal med. Keep an airline going in the med tank whilst treating.

Ive moved tank, but i dont have any salt or anything. Most i have is melafix.

She just died.

Dont think that will work.
Cooking salt not Table salt. (greengrocers) is what you use dont need aquarium salt.

Yeah, im going out to lfs today anyway to get a betta for the tank i just put the platy in. Ill pick up some salt and medicine.
