Fish Breathin Really Hard

why is my glolight breathing hard the other one i had a while back was breathing hard and died the nxt day?

Water stats in ammonia,nitrite,nitrate,and ph.
Do you have enough aeration in the tank.
Are the gills red and inflamed.

Nitrates could do with fetching down with a water change.
Laboured breathing can be parasites, to bacerial infections, to bad water quality.

all other fish are doing good my glolight died and my blue ram is breathing hard

Are the gills red and inflamed or pale with excess mucas on them.
Anything on the body or fins of the fish.
Are the fish flicking and rubbing on objects.

yes for my ottos and rainbow fish they are red around around the gills what that mean?

Red gills, flicking which one.
Any sign of grains of salt on them, or a dusting of colour on them.

Right just added that then red around the gills.
Are they rubbing there gills on things in the tank as it sounds like gill flukes.
