I have a load of different mollies and I had the temp at 80 degrees. I changed it last night down to 77 or so because the fish were lazy at the high temp. Anyways I just noticed there was like 7 babies dead on the bottom and I can`t tell if they were ever born or not cause I know nothing about that, but I`m wondering if it`s connected to the temperature change or not.. I honestly didn`t think I had any mollies the same type or age. I have a deep hexagon so maybe they just died cause I didn`t see them in time.

They recommend temperature is either increased or reduced at a steady rate ov a period of many hours, so it could have potentially been a factor.

What are your water parameters?

No idea. One survived though so it must not have been premature. Found him today. I still don't check water parameters and stuff because I haven't been able to convince myself it's worth the money to buy those lol. I know I need to. What's the cheapest test kits you can get that are effective?

Thanks. API it is. Although I doubt I'll get it until there's a problem. My tank has definitely cycled or whatever. It's been about 8 months. I still don't know a lot as you can tell but I'll keep reading. Thanks for the help everyone.
