First time with real plants

Hi.Ive got rid of my plastic plants and i now have real live ones in my tank.(just 5 plus 2 "fern on bogwood")
Is it best to leave the plants in their pots,or take them out and bury them in the gravel?
Tank is about 3 months old (Juwel 190 approx 45 gallons)and gravel is about this deep (--------------------------)

FYI - That type of measurement is kind of variable. people have diferent screen resolutions and different browsers, and different text size settings on their computers. because of that fact, things can look VERY different from computer to computer. I only know this because I'm a web developer so don't feel bad.
