I got fifty FREE dollars in cash from my dad. I never get spoiled like that... well, anyways, I wanted to spend it on my fish who I love. I have 4 bettas (1 extremely peaceful male and 3 females), 5 cories, and 3 tetras that won't die (ha) in my 29 gallon tank. Well, I wanted to get some stuff for my tank... any ideas? I don't really need anything like a new filter or anything...

So... what would you do with that money?

Ummm.... buy more FISH. :shout:

Lol, jk. What kind of heater do you have? If it doesn't work too good, upgrade to a Visitherm STealth Heater. Best heater I've ever had, extremely stable temp. Or you could get some plants of upgrade your lighting or change your substrate.

My heater works pretty well and keeps the temps where I want them. I could get a few plants, but I wouldn't want to upgrade the lighting (I'm sorta lazy) and I wouldn't want to change the substrate. I like my substrate bright blue... haha

So, the list so far:

Low-Light Plants

Woo-Hoo!

My dad gave me 40 dollars to go get dog food, but he set it on the table and the labrador ate it (the friggin MONEY) before I could go get dog food. So now I have to use my last 20 dollars, and borrow 20 from my mom to go get dog food. I think I am going to just feed the labrador paper because its cheaper and apparently she perfers it over dog food. The other dogs get the good food. F****** labradors.... :grr:

Anyway... maybe some nice plants for the tank, if its kinda bare?

Oh, and put that money somewhere safe, ok? Its a good idea to put money in a safe place.

HAHAHA ^^^^^ Well I don't think having $50 is a bad problem! You could always get a nice 10 gallon setup for a quarantine tank setup if you dont have one yet! That's money well spent and you can always get decorations to make it look nice

Save it for when you really need it, just because you got a bit of dosh in your pocket, doesnt mean ya gotta spend it! :good:

J4MES

I would say a nice bit of bogwood and tie some anubias to it or maybe a java fern or some java moss, you could even push the boat out and get all 3 plants! Either that or invest it in some kind of fixed savings bond...less exciting but more practical :good:
