Fiesty Betta, and corys

i have a jolly 5 gallon tank, and this tank was specifically for the scared bronze cory's i have.
Now, i added Holy, the white betta into this tank as well, and ALL he does is puff out and chase the poor corys until they are back into hiding again.
Do bettas not like corys? i am very upset with my betta.

It's not normally a bad mix, but bettas are very individual fish. Some are more feisty than others. Have the corys got plenty of hiding places? It may be that your betta is just making them know who's boss - I had a bit of that at first with my betta and tetras. Keep an eye on things, and make sure the corys get a chance to eat (put an algae wafer in one of their hiding places), but I wouldn't be surprised if your betta calms down once he's happy that this is his territory.
