Currently, I have a 10 gallon tank set up with 3 fiddler crabs in it. One male, 2 female. I was wondering if there are any fish I can add that would not become supper to them. Would puffers survive with them? I know they nip a lot, so maybe the crabs would leave them alone, unless they ate the crabs. Any cichlid? Snails (I would think not)? Of course I will not add anything until I hear back from someone. If I did add any fish, I would not add any more crabs as 3 is plenty for a 10 gallon tank with fish. Lastly, my tank is 3/4 full with water, so there is room for my crabs to get out on some decorations I have in there. My LFS recommended danios and red clawed crabs, but I think danios are plain and ugly. The red clawed sounded interesting but only if I cannot add anything else. Thanks for any info I can get. :)

Whatever the fish is it will have to be a brackish fish as well as fidler crabs do need a little salt in the water for their well being, something to with minerals that are in salt water which help their shells harden after they have moulted i believe?

Any fish that is too large for the crabs to eat will be too big for a 10 gallon tank IMO,it would probably be best to leave it as a crab species tank im afraid.
