We have 2 very well established tropical tanks, and i have started a 3rd for Fiddler Crabs.

I read that they like Brackish water (is this right?) but i would like to also add a few fish.
I'm not sure on what fish are suitable in Brackish water, could anyone give me some advice on what fish, or links to Brackish fish.

Also how do I judge the amount of aquarium salt to put in?? :/

Thanks

Hi MRS!, welcome to the forum! Here is a link to all you wanted to know but were afraid to ask about fiddler crabs:
Fiddlers
They are brackish water crabs, and do need some access to land to do really well in an aquarium. I have no personal expierience with fiddlers but have kept the red claw crab for a few years now. They are great little charachters that can do well with some fish if you plan properly. I have only seen fiddlers in large shallow aquariums with lots of land but I believe they do require both land and water as in their natural habitat.
Archer fish would be an interesting tankmate, if you have a large enough tank 3ft at least. The reduced water level suits both these fish and the crabs, and you can train the archer to shoot food from a kebab stick!
Bumblebee gobies and spotted puffers are also interesting brackish species.

fiddler crabs are brackish water inverts and wil require a small amount of marine salt adding. i would not keep them with fish because they may eat them and also, they need a"beach" so the water in the tank will only be shallow. I suggest about 4" of water with a beach at one end and have an internal filter on its side in the other end.
