Festival Of Fishkeeping

We went for the weekend last year. It was ok,and we were given lots of freebie foods etc. They also have a lot of discounted products for sale there.
As we will be in Hayling Island on that weekend, we will probably pop in as day visitors on the saturday.

That looks really interesting, also according to some of the literature I found on the web the day passes are free, they've been sponsored by Aquarian :D

If I can ever find a definite for what dates it is I might actually go! Some say 5th-8th Oct, others 6th-9th, not that it really matters to me as I'd only be able to make the 7th or 8th anyway!

Its only open on 7th and 8th October for day visitors. As a resident guest its 6th-9th.HTH.

I would imagine you can see it all on the saturday.....we managed it last year. You can also get a heavily discounted subsciption to pfk magazine(in case you are interested) ;)

Ooooh, sounds good :) I love 'shows' like these, they always have such interesting stuff and good offers :)

The resort as a place to stay isn't all that. I was there this weekend just passed for another event, and I can say that the features, decor and maintainence of the place hasn't changed since I was there about 8 years ago!

I think we'll be down for a day trip too.

 The resort hasn't changed since I used to go there with my parents 20 years and more ago!!! I'd definitely not stay there again, although the food wasn't too bad. Maybe we should try and arrange a meet up for anyone visiting on the saturday?

Yes, quite!!
We used to go once a year, first weekend in October every year from about 1986 until 1997 (when it was Haven) for an event my dad organised.
Went back this year and although everything is so much smaller than I remembered it, pretty much nothing has changed!! Except all the waiters in the restaraunt now seem to be Eastern European!

I'm going on the Sunday (8th). I'll be on the Practical Fishkeeping stand answering questions to the public at some stage.

Hope to see some of you there. My photo is on my profile if you want to recognise me. :)
