Female Honey Gourami

my girlfriend lost track of ammonia and i think it poisned a few of her fishys, one ram has died but this female gourami has survived, unfortunatly it happens to look like it not only has part of a gill missing, but also its eye had a fungul infection and appears to have rotten away a bit... it has recently started to go darker too.... my girlfriend doesnt want the fish suffering so could anyone suggest how to heal the little thing or how to put it to rest the best way possible.

it has survived quite well for at least 5 days since first getting the infection which is my only reason i ask if anyone could suggest if it would survive.
