I've got the following:

8X neon tetra
1X guppy
5X panda cory
3X ottocinclus

Food I have: flake, freeze dried tubifex, sinking wafers, frozen green cubes I also buy live bloodworms every couple of weeks

At the moment i tend to feed a couple of times a day, in the morning and around 6-7pm. This involves approx 1/4 of a sinking Hikari wafer for the corys (they eat most of it although the tetras and guppy go for it too) and 1X medium sized flake for the rest of the fish. For the otos i put in some cucumber once a week for a day, maybe two

I read that fish like being fed a little and often as opposed to rarely and a large ammount however I still get the impression that I overfeed. For example - I often see a couple of the tetras with fat, bloated stomachs which can't be healthy... I also have a lot of hair algae in their at the moment too which ive heard is a sign of over feeding

Am i feeding too often? The main problem I have is the tetras and guppy going for the bloodworms and wafers i put in for the corys and then they get bloated looking :hyper:

Any advice appreciated!

I feed once a day...sometimes once every other day. I blend together algae wafers, two kinds of flake, cichlid pellets, and dried whole shrimp in the proportions that I would feed each food and then crush it all to small enough chunks to be eatan easily. Like I said I feed sparingly once a day and fast them every once in a while. IMHO It is much harder to underfeed your fish than it is to overfeed.

i'm considering fasting them - would 5 days be ideal for my fish? :)

i say just cut down on the food, i think fish are quite satisfied if you just feed them twice a day, and you got a very comlicated system for feeding your fish, but then again, you got a variety of fishes that need specific foods, its best when the fish will eat anything
