Round a friends last night, got a text from my girlfriend. 'The tank’s leaking. Water every where!', so after a quick call to her I was on my way, and slightly panicked as you can imagine. . So got home and pulled the tank away from the wall. (Which wasn't that easy being a full 120lt tank). Gave the tank a good wipe over and found it was just condensation.

So I took the tape off the back that I put on there to stop my reed fish getting out, and replaced it with some old sponge. This morning all seemed fine and dry.

any one had any thing like this happen? Also will this help the fish in any way having a bit more air flow across the tank? (Obviously the tape was quite restricting and the sponge it breathable?)

i know what you mean about the tape, thankfully it wasn't a leak :)

Straydum , i assume its where they have taped the holes in the hood, where the pipes etc go in and out, to stop there fish escaping, i have had to do the same with my tanks due to my escape artists the snakeheads.

yep, that will be it. at the back where the wires come in. so is fresh air a good thing? i know fish are in the water but, well you know????
