After moving my new gouramis from quarantine to the big tank they are doing well as is everyone but my clown loaches. While the new fish and the danio, rasbora and raphael look fine and everyone is acting fine, my loaches now have the dreaded ich. I am already in the process of increasing the temperature to 86F, did a 50% water change (during the course of which I discovered that my big fish bucket now has a crack
), removed my carbon filter media, dosed it with RidIck, and turned out the lights. I will continue with the water changes and dosing yada yada. I use a reverse flow undergravel system so I can't use the power head to rile the water, but I do have very active bubbling the full length of the tank and the surface of the water is constantly choppy, just short of whitecaps. I don't think I have to worry about oxygen levels but if I wanted to add more to the water would adding peroxide be an option? I used it years ago when I had an algae outbreak and no one came out worse for the wear. I don't have a place to hang another power head.
