Evolution of Cooperative Breeding

A project that I've sometimes daydreamed about would be a huge hardwater, Lake Tanganyika tank. I'm talking at least six to eight feet, and ideally more than that.

Into it, I would put two pairs of tiny little Neolamprologus marunguensis. No other fish. And I'd watch for a couple of years to see the villages grow, and how they'd interact.

Beautiful fish, beautiful behaviour but with limits imposed by our puny tanks...
