Ladies and Gents, Boys and Girls, all our fish lovers around the world: It's time for our exciting and very popular Pet of the Month Contest!

If you have a pet in your household (no fish allowed) we encourage you to enter it in our Pet of the Month contest.

RULES:
A picture uploaded via our "attach files" tool with a handwritten note held in front of your pet with "May 2023 TFF POTM" written on it is required to validate your entry. If you wish, you may post a second picture without the note attached. If you post 2 pics, only the one without the note will be in the poll. Right under the pictures, post any details about your pet such as name, age, how you got your pet, what you feed it, tricks and unique traits and anything else you'd like to share.
  • If you won a POTM contest previously, you must skip at least 1 POTM contest before you can enter a different pet.
  • A detailed description is required!
  • Entries will be accepted till 4 pm ET (US) on March 23th or when we have 12 entrants...whichever comes first. Any entrant who posts an entry after we have 12 entrants will be asked to enter the next POTM contest and their post will be deleted. The winner will be decided by votes cast by FishForums.net members.

Did i ever tell you about my kitten; she was a gray tabby. Technically she was my sisters cat but since my sister took my orange tabby; it was only fair that the grey one bonded with me. Well after a while my sister took her with her when she went to college but when i visited my sister the kitty knew who her friend was and promptly jumped into my lap and purr herself to sleep. Alas after 23 years she passed but she was the most wonderful kitty in the whole wide world. She used to follow me on 5 mile hikes when i would take my puppy on a small walk. After a few miles she would jump out of nowhere grab my puppy tail and take off ;)

I'd post a picture of her and i could put a date thingy on the picture i'm photography but alas taking a real picture of her would involve flying out to my sister finding her grave and digging her up. Kind of gross not to mention she would be mostly a skeleton now. But she was the most wonderful kitty in the whole wide world.

If there is one pet i miss it was the grey tabby i had many years ago.

Oh and as a bonus she used to bring live chipmonk home for my sister but that is another story.

I will enter a little later today. I was SO ready to enter this months POTM! My parakeet Pickles would be a great entry. And I even took pics of him... but.. I forgot the little handwritten note, in both! Darn!

Your handwritten note only needs to be present in one photo.

Let's start first with an entry...
Overhere one of my three white arm manderin vampire crabs. All three are almost the same size. The biggest is also the most dominant one in my paludarium. But they're all at adult size. I've seen them a bit smaller elsewhere. So apparently, they had a good home at my friend's place or those I've seen before had a less good home. But those were at a store. And we do know that not always will pets be fed the way they should be fed at stores. Those wild guppies I had in there were already moved to another tank because the population exceeded. A friend of mine decided to live together with his gf but she hates pets. So, he asked me if I would like to adopt them for he knew I've kept vampire crabs before. With the empty paludarium I was able to rehome them. And I was actually planning to get some Asian mudskippers again. But I couldn't resist there critters either...
They do have their own steady spot in the paludarium but during the day they do wander around. I haven't seen any aggression between them yet. And I do have to admit that I just have them for a month ago. But thusfar, they thrive well in there. All three of them are used to the hand.
I only picked one of those three to enter the competition. For I didn't have a specific preference for one of them.
