Partially boil an egg, mix the slightly runny/solid yellow part in some water. Strain it and feed the fry the runny egg/water mixture with a dropper.
Or
Take some freeze dried bloodworms and regular fish flakes, put in a bag and crush with fingers, then roll a drinking glass over the bag. This crushes it up really good.
I use hard boiled egg yolk crumbled with rolling pin and mix little amounts of water great source of protein, I guess you could add crushed fish flakes.
Thankyou for the food tips. Any other tips on Molly fry would be good. Many years ago I used to keep Mollies, many fry used to die, but I'm hoping in this keep net, there's a much larger through-put of water than those cheap breeding trays of old. I think Rosy and Barb are going to the LFS this weekend. I'm sure they would have eaten some of them before I got the chance to save them.
I did feed them some egg yolk I got from a Scotch Egg. However, at the moment they seem happy with the "dust" from the bottom of a tub of dried Daphnia.
I'm finding egg drops through the bottom of the keep net as it's quite dense. I have'nt tried the runny egg mixture idea though as I'm using Scotch Eggs.

I'm not sure about the advice to make a runny egg solution - it seems to pollute the water and as there is only dirty runny egg water, there's nothing of ay substance for them to eat.
I now have Corry eggs due to hatch tomorrow. Does anyone know if this will be small enough to feed them as I understand it's a different ball game to baby mollies: Artemia Brine Shrimp Granules (02.-0.3mm) (as found on eBay)
