so, I have raised Tilapia before , to eat..
so now I’m thinking along the lines of maybe trying a shellfish, in a farming type situation… I still have the 3 big tanks I raised tilapia in, outside… I think generally we have too short a growing season to raise a tropical outside… I love shrimp, so shrimp farming would be interesting… but sticking with my Minnesota climate, thought about crawdads ( around here, they are called cray fish )
wondering about raising a shrimp or crayfish to an edible size, enough of them to make a few meals, so it would be worth while…
my neocardia shrimp have been breeding very well, with my local well water… 100’s in a 10 gallon tank.. . obviously not much of a meal featuring neocardia but wondering about a larger freshwater shrimp, prawn, or crawfish, or clam maybe… breeding and growing out…
got any ideas???
