A recent visit to a garden center yielded surprising results. I noticed posters up saying that they will not sell dyed fish, has any body else seen these posters?
Unless a governing body is awarding these posters to dealers who it can be proven dont stock dyed fish, this could lead to all sorts of trouble.

Yes, you will find the posters in many good lfs

Why would it lead to trouble? If there is no governing body to issue them, there is no governing body to regulate or punish them, so who could they get into trouble with?

Practical Fishkeeping magazine run a campaign to get lfs to declare they will not stock them READ HERE

There is an online petition HERE

And finally HERE is a template to write to your MP to get the import and sale of dyed fish made illegal altogether. Unfortunately it was too late to get onto the animal welfare bill, but once that is through parliament, it can be pushed through much more easily, so add your name to the lists and put a stop to it :)
