This is the most obvious question in the world but just to make sure does Black gravel hurt fish? Well thanks for help

Are you worried about the dye used in it? I thought that actually when I was holding a bag of it in the local store, it did look awfully black and I wondered what they put in it to make it so black...I don't know, I am looking for black sand just now and will probably be found standing staring at that at a store round here sometime soon too.

i think ei read that Tropic Isle Tahitian Moon Sand was natrual black sand and its at aquariumguys.com under gravel and as long as the black gravel you are using is supposed to be for an aquarium i would say it wouldn't hurt your fish.
:D

I'd suggest just as with any other colored gravel, make sure you rince it well before using... I personally have found that using warm - hot water during the rinsing gets more of the extra dust and things off quicker than cold water.. I know the first rinse I did for my black gravel the water came away almost black... so just make sure you rinse really well.
