Dreaded Whitespot

Think my cardinal tetras have got it, done the routine for getting rid of it.

One question though, what should my water readings be like if I do have a case of whitespot?

Depends on the med some can slightly knock your water stats.
Methylene blue can wipe all the benefical bacteria out in your filter.
