Does Rotten Plants Mess Up Ur Water Quality?

i just bought 2 plants like 3 weeks ago and there kinda starting to rot or have brown algae on it i cant tell cus im high as hell rite now and i just took a shower so i aint tryin to put my hand all up in a fishtank lol

but should i keep em or just get some new ones

but money is rough rite now

and dont come in my thread sayin i need a co2 injector actin like u mr fish chemist n ####

writin like 100 paragraphs lol

just some legitimate advice...

i know i came to the rite place

Certain plant will only grow well under high light, CO2 and the correct macro and micro nutrients.

If your plants are rotting and getting covered with algae, you need to keep low light plants with little demands. Such as Java Moss and Java Fern.

Ps: but yes - you do need to remove the decomposing plants as excess organic matter will reduce the water quality and compromise the health of your fish in a closed system tank environment.

so i should get a stronger light...does that mean i need a different hood...just get a higher watt lightbulb my son?
