Does Any One Know Where You Can Get Bio Spira?

Don't think you can buy bio spira in the uk.

I don't think Bio-Spira is sold over here.

Bactinettes is available at a few lfs, it would probably help if you said where you are. I can get bactinettes from Swallows in Rayleigh, but that is little use if you are in Cumbria.

Also, bactinettes is not as good as Bio-Spira, it contains the wrong type of nitrite oxidising bacteria, so will not instantly cycle your media like Bio-Spra will.

most maidenhead aqautics have it i think (well a few ones by me do)

i used it to start my mbuna tank. i used 2 pots for 185 litres. i only got a slight ammonia reading i believe about .25 if i remember correctly.

Tetra Safestart is the Bio Spira alternative in the UK

I think the bio spira takes a day to cycle a tank not sure.
Not sure on the uk version.

If you use bactinetts you need to stock your tank straight away otherwise there is nothing for the bacteria to feed on thus dying. I stocked my 150g with big messy fish using bactinetts with no problem.
