Do you keep the weird fibre stuff on the plants?

So I got these plants yesterday and theyre coated (inside the pot) in this weird fibery-like stuff but it’s not like the usual coconut fibre I have seen before that you get in the Tropica plants. I don’t know whether I was meant to take it out the pot or not. I have zero experience with planted tanks so I just wanted to try it out but now I feel like I’ve killed the plant 😭

Hi! That would be rock wool. It is used to pot and ship plants as it retains moisture well. Go ahead and pull the plant and rock wool out of the pot, and gently ull the rock wool away from the stems. It's ok if a small bit stays, it shouldn't hurt anything. You didn't kill the plant! Good luck with your planted tank!

Thank you! Okay I’ll give it a go with the rest of the plants tomorrow. I just got scared haha.
