do i have too many fish in my tank
10 gal: 4 swordtails (2 marigold, 2 lyretail hi-fins: 1 female is pregnant)
4 neon tetras
3 guppies (1 male 2 female: 1 female is pregnant)
1 platinum gouramie
1 small pleco ( i guess he's dwarf)

I tried to explain the plec thing to you in another thread. He is unlikely to be a dwarf, he'll just be young. Common plecs get very big and pretty fast.

I think you are borderline without the plec anyway to be honest.

Maybe I am wrong

It depends on how much he eats and how warn the water is.
You should have got a bushy nosed plec. I don't think they get as big

My common plec double it's size in 3 weeks, when i first got him hes only a little bigger than 1" and he's almost 3" now, if you have a common plec then 10 g is not even close, try to talk to your LFS if they would take it as a trade in as it gets bigger, I talk to my LFS recently and they said that they would take my plec when it outgrows my tank although i'm not getting a lot back they said they'll probably gave me 5 bucks for a monster pleco..

I'd say take out the pleco and the gourami. Unless you have really good filtration and live plants, that is. Then I think you might be able to leave the gourami in.
