hi, i have a couple of fish i think have diseases (they kind of look like extras from the film 'the mummy')

will they end up making my other fish diseased (or perhaps just fish of the same breed?)

should i get 'em out of the tank?

do diseased fish need treatment or is there a chance they will get better themselves over time?

ps. i do try to keep the tank in good order, water changes etc, i think they are just 'difficult fish' so to speak

there are baby fish in there also, to keep the legacy going (cue the 'circle of life' music from the Lion King..)

cheers

it might be a good idea to describe the problem so people can diagnose it and give you mroe help

Can you describe what they have in more detail.
Size of tank in gallons or litres.
How many fish and which type.
Water stats in ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and ph.

Hi monto :)

I'm sorry to hear that some of your fish are not doing well. It's always a good idea to move them to a quarantine tank when this happens. It's also good to try to figure out what caused the problem as well. Did you add any new fish lately? What is the temperature of the water? Is there good water movement at the surface?

I'm going to move your thread to the Emergency section. Hope your fish get well soon.

hi again, well i have a pump thing it keeps the water moving yep

it is a 2 foot tank, i keep it at about 24 degrees

i think i will do some reading up on the subject, that would be best

thanks then

is it possible to load some pics up of the sick fish.
