Disappearing Fish...

Can fish just disappear? I got a couple new cories a few months ago and one of them is gone... I cant find him anywhere... whats the deal?

odds are it died and got eaten by oher fish in the tank before you noticed

I have had this happen to me with a coldwater tank previously. I noticed a blackmoor had external parasites, went and bought the meds - came back, I had left the lid open - parasite was still in water - but no fish. There was only one other fish in there, so being eaten is not going to have happened.

I drained the tank and moved to check behind but still no fish. My LFS suggested it had been abducted by aliens.

a few things may have happened to me

1 if you have an internal filter it mey have ended up in ther this has happened to me
2 my scisscor tails have jumped out the tank when i have did a water change

It didn't go in my filter and I don't see it outside of the tank... I suposse that it died and got eaten they did hide alot and I guess I didn't notice... I have been checking my water stats and they seem fine I am gonna clean my tank tonight so I might find something then...
