look similar, likely can't inter breed??? I don't know if they like the same conditions... I just seem to have a thing for tigers... the limia is still small, but about twice the size of the Teddy

I'd suggest that you have a couple of choices.

Invest in another aquarium, a larger one, and get the rapid breeding Limia. It's a tough little fish.

Combine them in one tank and lose the Neoheterandria to being outcompeted, out-muscled and out bred. The tiger teddie is really a one tank one species type fish. Because they need extremely clean water, crowding is not a good idea unless you're buying them to see them for a short time but not keep them.

I love both as well but Limia islai can be combined with lots of other breeds but Neoheterandria elegans should be kept in a one species tank. They wither away when combined with other fish. Even Heterandria formosa is too vivid to keep them along Neoheterandria elegans.
Limia islai becomes much larger than those teddy tigers. Interbreeding won't happen. Their sexual organs won't allow a natural mating. And those teddy tigers are superfetative while those tiger limias aren't.
