right. Tank is 48" by 12 " by 18". Heavily planted 32 gallons (UK)
I have made my list and wish to stock as follows.
10 zebra danio
3 yoyo loach
6 algae shrimp
2 pearl gourami
5 hawaii platy

I would love to add a couple of rams too. In general have I got it right? I did the research for compatability and ability to live in my rather high PH water (7.8)
I hope I've got it right otherwise it's back to the drawing board and more headaches as everything I like seems not to be the right fish, or not compatable etc. At this rate I'll end up with a 32 gallon tank with just one species.

anyone any comments?? PLease?? Pretty please with syrup and a flake on top?

you should be able to add rams.there is still a fair amount of room in there.the measurements sound like a 55 us gal so thats what im going by.

oh that sounds good then. I just needed to get experienced folk to give me a yay or nay as I plan on getting some midweek if I'm happy with the stats. It's going to be an expensive week for me it seems if I get the fish and yet more plants as I want.

looks OK to me, depending how heavily planted the shrimps should be OK.

we have them in with gourami's and an angelfish which by all rights should probably eat them, but the tanks so heavily planted they just don't see them.

as for the rams and your ph, before you buy them check what ph they were bred in and what the ph in the shop is, depending how close it is to yours you may have to go through some careful acclimitisation. however so long as your ph is stable and your careful you should be fine. most fish can quite easily adapt.

The tank will be very heavily planted. The effect I'm after is loads of plants with a glimpse of fish moving through it all.

i reckon you'll be alright then, get the shrimp as big as you can :good:

fen - Looks great to me, add the rams it looks like there is enough room - 4' is a pretty long tank. Once big enough, the yoyos will eat the shrimp (Mine just love 'em!). Im assuming they are inexpensive, I pay $1.29 for 12 so I just add more in about once a month.
Good Luck!
