My fluval 2 has just died. Turned it off to change the water and when i plugged it back in nothing happened!
I have another filter but it will need a week before it can run by itself?
What to do?

can you not swap over the media, which has the bacteria (sponges) into the other filter and it should be fine, di

Have you taken the impeller out, it may have stuck. This sometimes happens to my filter a quick clean or shake will do the trick.

Not a problem, glad I could help. Mind you it never harm's to have a back up filter to hand.

Fluval filters are well known for not starting up again. There a pain.
Clean impellor, and I used to move the filter up and down in tank to get it started.
As long as you don'tr pull the filter out of the water.
