Dead Guppys...

One of my guppys died to day...wonderd if anyone could tell me why...here are the tank sats:
-ph 8
-nitrite-0
-nitrate-40
-ammonia-im guessing ten because on my test the colour dosnt match the '0' reading or the '25' reading, its somewhere in the middle.
if its nothing to do with the quality of water can they die fro birth problems because it was a female?

your ammonia should always be 0, what test kits are you using? did you notice anything different about the fish before it died?

Im using a liquid master test kit... my other tanks read 0 for ammonia so i know nothing is wrong with the tank... the fish was kind of like twitching and then sank then would wtich again and again but there was a longer gap inbetween each one then is just stopped.

you mean .10 not 10 lol. Anyway that is still pretty bad, thats probably the reason.

Yes i ment .10 lol... i will do some extra water changes this week to get it down

Not that i know of... well our cleaner came today and hooverd in my bedroom... could that cause one ?
