I have a whole tube of aquarium sealent and i was going to get these i was wondering if i could seal these to the back glass. I am reluctant to put them over the sand that im going to have because this would make cleaning it more work. Any thoughts, its these or vivarium ones (the plastic ones that sucktion to the back).

I use them with the sand. I just put the plastic part under the sand as the whole thing floats if its not weighed down. If you glue it to the tank you will find that its even harder to clean it!! Best thing to do is put it into the sand, remove it to clean the "grass" and to clean the sand underneath it. Its simple and not alot of work either. If you can use suckers you will find that once they are down and when you remove them to clean it you will find it almost impossible to get it stuck back without having sand stuck under the sucker.
