at the moment they are about 0.25 inches long and look very strong and healthy
and are just starting to colour up

Hi macky1 :)

I'm glad to find someone else with little bronze cory fry.

How old are they and what are you feeding them. -_- As a rule of thumb, by 3 or 4 months they will be a nice size, but this will vary depending on the size of the tank, and what you are feeding them.

If you want to give them away, however, they can be moved at a much younger age.

hi inchworm they are about 6-7 weeks old

feeding is finely crushed flake and liquifry no1
they also enjoy pecking away at the odd sinking wafers

they are in a 2ft x 1ft tank with a sponge filter
twice a week water change

cheers

Hi macky1 :)

You might want to stop the Liquifry and start giving them some very finely chopped up blackworms or tubifex worms now. The sooner you get them taking a good amount of them in their daily diet, the faster they will grow.

And, while you're at it, give some to the parents to condition them for their next batch, if you plan to raise some more.

I get mine on microworms within a few days of birth and find that it gets them off to a better start than the Liquifry.

You might want to increase your water changes too. I keep hearing that fry do best with a little changed every day, so that's what I do. It's also useful in keeping the bottom clean which is so very important with corys. :D

inchworm
