Coral Question

I have a freshwater 20 gallon tank along with a couple other tanks

I put a piece of coral in the 20 gallon tank with 5 green tiger barbs in it and it has made the water a little cloudy, is this what coral does

Is it fine to have coral in my freshwater tank with the barbs

Any help will be appreciated thanks Mike

never put coral in freshwater tanks. it will mess with the parameters of the water and may add salt to water and hurt the fish.

"Coral" is something completely different. Real coral is living. What you refer to is 'ocean rock'. Unless coated with an epoxy resin, I would not advise putting it in your tank.
