i had asked before about a regular badis that aparently got rather big and would eat my other fishies. but i have read that the scarlet badis doesnt get very big at all and do ok in community tanks.

would the smaller scarlet badis do ok in my 20g with some black neon tetras and another school of smaller fish?

well unfortunatly the scarlet badis is not on their list regular badis either, any advice from anyone who has kept this fish ?

I'm not familiar with them but from what I can find, it looks as if they stay 1" or smaller so I don't see how they could eat your other fish. They would appear to be good community fish. As I said thouh, I have no experience with them so just goin by what I found with a Google search.

the scarlet badis stay small and though they can be aggressive amongst themselves, they'll mostly leave other fish alone. However they generally won't touch flake, they prefer live or frozen foods like bloodworm, blackworm, brine shimp, etc. they are also slow to eat so fast feeders may outcompete them. Java moss and caves will make them very happy fishes, but you will need a separate territory for each.

Also, they are Dario Dario, not badis, though the common name is misleading.
